Application of Internet Technologies: 

With a vision of extending our community planning and landscape architecture skill set to the internet, we have developed an internet portal pilot project available free for all Manitoba communities.  The purpose of the project is to encourage communities and businesses to work collaboratively to stimulate economic development and tourism.  You can view the portal at “tourinfo.net.” We welcome your comments.

3-D Computer Modeling and Animation: 

Lombard North Group has utilized the latest 3D modeling software, such as 3D Studio Viz, to explore and present bold ideas and concepts to our clients. The 3D modeling technique is particularly effective when it is presented to clients or stakeholders through a public consultation process. The presentation allows people to get a sense of the space through a “virtual tour” format. 

In a process called Image Editing, we are also able to digitally layer and enhance different architectural facades and other elements on top of actual photos of streets. Used in streetscape design, the process can offer our clients a wide variety of choices in selecting how a street would look using different materials, vegetation, signage, paving patterns and architectural facades.
